Timothy S. Floyd

Mr. Timothy S. Floyd is a Principal Research Engineer in the Electronic Systems Laboratory of the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). GTRI is an integral part of the Georgia Institute of Technology whose primary function is applied research. Mr. Floyd has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (1985), Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (1984) with a Certificate in Computer Engineering, and Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (1981), all from Georgia Tech. Along with his 25 years of research at Georgia Tech, Mr. Floyd has eight years of industrial experience, primarily at Milliken Research Corporation and Lucent Technologies. He has authored 43 major publications, been awarded one patent, and has one patent pending. He helps teach a short course in Basic RF EW, and developed and teaches a short course on how to write proposals. Mr. Floyd is a current member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Association of Computing Machinery, American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, and the Association of Old Crows.
